The workshop covers the 12 Essentials of TRI Compliance—a simplified approach for determining your reporting responsibilities. Student will learn:

  • What is SARA III? What is EPCRA?
  • Determining applicability; sic codes, threshholds, multi-establishments.
  • Collecting the data: Basis of estimates, recycle/reuse, metals.
  • Filling out the form: Site information, trade secrets, source reduction.
  • Case studies: exercises, calculations.
  • Plus, all the new rules for reporting including the new standards for lead and lead compounds.

Facilities that manufacture, process, or otherwise use any of the EPA's 600 designated toxic chemicals must submit an annual release report, including:
