This course provides general awareness training for hazmat drivers who need to meet their initial or re-training mandate. The U.S. DOT requires training in the hazardous materials regulations for any person involved in hazmat transportation per 49 CFR Part 172.704(a) and (c).
Students gain a better understanding of their regulatory responsibilities and how to keep their hazmat shipments safe. This course covers what activities are subject to DOT regulation, what materials are DOT "hazardous materials," and how they are regulated.
