This workshop provides hazmat employee operations training. It teaches hazmat employees how to do the tasks related to shipping hazardous materials in compliance with U.S. DOT rules.
It provides general awareness training, cargo security training, and discusses the various hazmat shipping functions (e.g., marking, labeling, and placarding).

This workshop provides complete training for the hands-on hazmat employee. Students will learn how to:
- Identify materials which might be regulated as a DOT hazardous material.
- Recognize the importance of accuracy in the hazmat shipping name and description.
- Identify what packaging meets a particular specification.
- Determine whether a release or incident is “reportable”.
- Understand their role in emergency response.
- Ensure correct DOT packaging.
- Identify manifesting errors.
- Work with carriers to “offer” a shipment.
