Maine Autobody Plant Faces $400K in OSHA Citations
An autobody manufacturing facility in Waterville, ME has been issued citations from US Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). OSHA noted two willful and 10 serious alleged violations of Fall Protection and Noise Safety Standards, totaling $393,992 in proposed fines.4/9/2021

OSHA announced plans to delay its new COVID-19 workplace safety standard while it gathers updated information on SARS-CoV-2. OSHA to Expand COVID-19 Inspections Under New NEP
On March 12, OSHA launched a National Emphasis Program (NEP) to protect high-risk workers from hazards related to COVID-19 exposure. The program expands upon its existing inspection efforts to prioritize companies with the highest number of workers at serious risk of contracting the virus.
