This course provides 8 hours of HAZWOPER refresher training for employees who respond to hazardous substance releases in the role of hazardous materials technician. Often called "hazmat techs," technicians take aggressive response actions and approach the point of a release to plug, patch, or otherwise stop it.

24 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER Initial–Emergency Response Technician (Level III)
OSHA requires new Hazardous Materials Technicians (i.e., "techs" or "hazmat techs"), to complete 24 hours of of initial training (29 CFR 1910.120(q)(6)(iii)). Employers must cover these required elements in additional instruction or hands-on training.
