“Lion always has the best regulatory compliance workshops!”
Sam L., Environmental Engineer | Atlanta, GA

Joni us for all four days of hazmat training to develop a step-by-step approach to safely prepare bulk or non-bulk shipments for safe transportation by ground, air, or vessel. These expert-led workshops are updated to cover the latest 49 CFR, IATA DGR, and IMDG Code requirements that all hazmat shippers must know.

Lion instructors are thrilled to get back in the classroom and connect with new and returning hazardous materials professionals. When in-person DOT, IATA, and IMDG hazmat training returns to Atlanta, Lion will adhere to all Federal, State, and local protocols to protect student health and safety.

Who Needs DOT Hazmat Training?

Under US DOT’s Hazardous Materials Regulations, all “hazmat employees” must complete training within 90 days of hire or assignment and must complete re-training once every 3 years (49 CFR 172.704).

If you ship hazardous materials by air or vessel, you and your shipping team must also complete function-specific training on the unique international requirements for those modes of transport (i.e., the IATA DGR and IMDG Code).

Arcane rules and regulations are nothing new in Atlanta, a city that once outlawed tying giraffes to telephone poles (no kidding!). While we can all but guarantee you won’t be charged with a giraffe-related offense, the minimum penalty for failure to train hazmat employees is now $508 per day, per employee. 49 CFR compliance mistakes can be even more costly, with penalties recently increased to $84,425 per day, per violation.

In Atlanta: Training to Simplify Hazmat Compliance

At the Atlanta multimodal hazmat shipper workshops, collaborate and learn with other hazmat shippers during two, three, or four days of dynamic, interactive learning. Over 200,000 Lion students trust Lion for hazmat training classes because our instructors, curriculum, and resource materials are the best in the industry.

We will cover mandated training elements for all hazmat employees in Atlanta: General awareness, security awareness, and function-specific hazmat training. Lion’s hazmat instructors teach using every-day language and relatable, real world examples to help you get comfortable navigating and using the domestic and international regulations that impact your hazmat shipments.

I really enjoyed this training. Even after years on both sides of the comprehension coin, I find myself still learning! The quality of the delivery exceeded much of the training I have received in the past.
