Training in Houston: Major RCRA Updates for 2021

Major changes to the RCRA hazardous waste regulations are coming soon to Texas! The Lone Star State will soon adopt US EPA’s Generator Improvements Rule with a projected effective date of January 2022.

Major RCRA updates to watch for in Texas include:
  • Bolstered contingency planning standards
  • Updated container marking/labeling rules
  • New requirements for satellite areas
  • EPA notification and re-notification for generators
  • New relief for episodic events like spills or lab clean-outs

"The content Lion covered in this course will be very applicable
to my site, rather than just a history lesson."

Gordon N., Environmental Projects Lead | Sugar Land, TX

The RCRA Hazardous Waste Management Workshop is designed to help satisfy EPA’s annual training mandate for hazardous waste personnel (40 CFR 262.17) and is updated to cover new and changing requirements that generators in Texas should prepare for.

The one-day Texas Hazardous & Industrial Waste Management Workshop prepares you to comply with additional, unique Texas state requirements for identifying and managing Class 1, 2 and 3 industrial waste regulated by TCEQ.

Plus, take advantage of Houston's 10,000+ restaurants that represent more than 70 countries and American regions.

Don’t Get Married by Accident

Understanding the rules and regulations that apply to your activities is crucial—especially in Texas, and not just when it comes to hazardous or industrial waste management. As a common law state, Texas allows two willing adults to become legally married if they announce three times in public that they are married—so watch what you say!

While RCRA doesn’t include any clauses about matrimony, mismanaging your site’s waste could result in environmental civil penalties as high as $76,764 per day, per violation.
