Takata Airbag Recall Expands (Again)
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has traced the ongoing safety defect in Takata brand airbags back to moisture and temperature variations that may, over time, degrade the propellant used in these safety devices. Now that NHTSA has traced the defect back to a root cause, Federal regulators will require Takata to recall between 35 and 40 million more airbag inflators.5/20/2015
