Professionals who complete this course will satisfy 49 CFR, IATA DGR, and IMDG Code function-specific training requirements for hazmat employees who prepare shipments of lithium-ion or lithium-metal batteries.

This online course provides function-specific training required by 49 CFR 172.704(a)(2).

US DOT also requires that general awareness and cargo security awareness training be part of hazmat employees' initial and recurrent training. Hazmat safety training and security plan training are required too, when applicable (see 49 CFR 172.704(a)(1)–(5)).

For "hazmat employees" with no previous hazmat training experience:
