EPA Drafts Recommended Water Quality Criteria for PFOA, PFOS, and PFBS

EPA has drafted recommended water quality criteria for three per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS)—perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), perfluorooctane sulfonic acid (PFOS), and perfluorobutane sulfonic acid (PFBS).

Update 12/18/2024: Final TSCA risk management rules for PCE and carbon tetrachloride (CTC) take effect on January 17, 2025. Plus, chemical manufacturers must submit health and safety data about sixteen chemical substances, including benzene, vinyl chloride, styrene, and hydrogen fluoride.
